A ssociated Builders and
Contractors of Indiana hosted
the 2013 Craft Championships
on February 9, 2013. Twenty-three
of the 3rd and 4th year apprentices
participated in this event. In order to
be able to participate in this event,
the apprentices had to take a written
test covering information from all 4
years of classes in their trade. Only
the top two out of each class were
able to participate in the State Craft
Championships where each apprentice
completed a hands-on project. The
scores from the test and the hands-
on project were compiled by Kenneth
Hedlund from Somerset CPAs. The
first place winner from each trade
received a $100 gift card, a Carhart
Jacket, a trophy, and an all expenses
paid trip to the National Competition.
The National Craft Championships will
be held in Birmingham, Alabama on
April 30th – May 3rd .
