The 2006 Third Annual Parade of Homes drew over 1,500 participants for the fall home tour. The weather for both weekends held up with rains occurring mid-week, creating puddles and havoc area without their lack of landscaping in place. Once again, the people of Durango and the Southwest Corners visited the 28 properties and voted on their People's Choice favorites.

The People's Choice votes and the Judges' Selections scores were totaled together to determine the overall 2006 Parade of Homes winner; and that winner is Larry Mongelli Construction, 130 Bear Creek Loop. As a result of being selected the overall winner, Larry's house is featured in the promotional materials for the 2007 Parade of Homes.
