Cape Cod—
Christine Duren
, executive officer of the Home Builders &
Remodelers Association of Cape Cod, was elected to a two-year term for
the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Executive Officers
Council’s board of directors. The swearing in was held in conjunction with the
International Builders Show in Las Vegas in February 2014.
She will serve as a regional director from NAHB’s Region A which covers
Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and
Connecticut.
The Executive Officers Council of NAHB is a professional organization of
association executives who manage the more than 700 local and state builder
associations. The EOC represents full and part-time executives of local and
state builder associations affiliated with NAHB. In addition to its members,
the activities and services of the EOC benefit the members of the NAHB-
affiliated associations, the housing industry, the housing consumer, and the
Executive Officers Councils of affiliated state associations.
As the executive officer of the HBA of Cape Cod, Duren directs the day-
to-day operations of an active building industry trade association with 250
member companies on Cape Cod.
The Association’s mission is to support homeownership on Cape Cod and its
trade members through legislative, educational, business and civic endeavors.
