Legends of the Industry Award
Recipients
Steve founded Stephen Dixon, Inc in 1978. Dixon’s mission is simple. “Build our clients one of a kind homes as if they were our
own.” To achieve this goal, the company strives to provide exceptional service at every step of construction. In 2008, Stephen
Dixon, Inc earned the designation of “Certified Green Professional” from NAHB.
Steve is an active member of Building and Remodeling Association of Greater Boston, serving as President in 1994. He was
nominated Builder of the Year in 1996 and 2003 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006. Steve represented the HBRAMA
on the BBRS from 1998-2004. He was also on the Rivers committee and helped alleviate much of that bill from being too punitive
to the builders.
Steve is a member and past director of the Cranberry County Chamber of Commerce and past member and chairman of the
Middleboro Planning Board. Steve is a member and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
Steve and his wife, Pat, have three children and six grandchildren.
STEPHEN DIXON
Thomas has been in the building/remodeling industry for 35 years and an active member of North East Builders & Remodelers
Association for 25 years, serving as their President in 2006. He is an Energy Star Builder since 1998 and is a member of NEBA
Energy Efficiency Subcommittee. Tom has built over 500 homes in the Greater Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire area.
In 2006, he was awarded Energy Star Developer of the Year for 20 lot subdivision; Greenwood Meadows in Andover, MA. Other
accomplishments include; 2005 NEBA Builder of the Year and NEBA member of Lifetime Board of Directors.
As a builder dedicated to customer service he strives to assure buyer satisfaction and frequently “over delivers” on products and
services. Homebuyers’ concerns and issues are always addressed in a timely manner. He is always ready to get in the “trenches”
when needed to assure efficient completion of a job. He is a builder committed to consistency building quality homes at
reasonable rates. Tom has earned the respect and developed long term relationships with numerous subcontractors.
Tom is a dedicated family man who is always available to give a helping hand. He is coach of Dracut Recreational Softball for 6 years and supports
Dracut Scholarship Foundation and charitable organizations.
He is married 32 years to Janet and has one daughter, Diana.
THOMAS J. PIEKARSKI
Kevin is a strong voice for his industry and is active with the Central Massachusetts Builders Association, and lobbies for important
causes in the building industry, energy matters and safety concerns in construction.
He has been one of the top home builders in Boston’s MetroWest market for decades and continues to create luxury homes
and condominiums with custom finishes and designs throughout Central Massachusetts. His company, Brendon Homes, Inc,
has a reputation for quality, integrity and customer satisfaction. Brendon Homes, Inc sets the mark for excellence in home
building which sets the mark for the home building industry. Brendon Homes, Inc was awarded “Builder of the Year in 2010”
and it has been recognized regionally and nationally with PRISM Awards for “Best Active Adult Community,” Best Active
Adult Design” and “Best Interior Design.” This is a testament to Kevin, his vision and execution of the finest architecturally
designed homes in the area. Personally, Kevin has strong moral values and commitment to the communities in which he builds and beyond.
A philosophy of not just building homes but communities has been at the nucleus of his vision. Building not only homes but dreams for the
present and future is paramount to his beliefs.
On a civic level, Kevin has served on the Board of Selectmen – Northborough for four years, Board of Trustees and Development Committee for
Spectrum Charitable Foundation, 200 Foundation Board Member, Chamber of Commerce Membership Drive Committee Member, Community
Growth Development Committee for the Towns of Northborough, Southborough and Shrewsbury, Chairman of the Committee for St. Matthew’s
Private Prep School, Southborough Community House Rebuilding Project, Constructed and Affordable Home Town of Southborough and American
Legion renovation projects.
Kevin was instrumental in bringing the Spectrum Houses’ Women and Children’s Center to fruition by tirelessly raising almost a million dollars
over a thirteen year period. In his honor, the facility fittingly was named “The Giblin House.” Brendon Homes, Inc. funded thousands of dollars
for World Vision, one of the largest humanitarian organizations in the world that provides emergency relief, long term community and agricultural
development, healthcare and education to children and their families in some of the poorest and most dangerous areas on earth by building over
100 homes. He has been involved in countless charitable foundations and endeavors and has sponsored many local athletic teams from tee-ball to
American League, Football, and Cheerleading and after school programs.
Kevin and his wife, Catherine has two children: Kristyn and Brendon, and five grandchildren.
