Federal Realty Investment Trust selected
WCS Construction,
LLC
, to construct Pike and Rose Block 6 in Bethesda, MD. The
13-story, 413,825 gross square foot brick, precast and gypsum
fiber-reinforced concrete mixed-use building will include
apartments, fitness area, rooftop pool, retail and below-grade
parking. Targeted to receive LEED Silver level certification, the
project’s completion date is the first quarter of 2018.
WCS Construction also announced that it broke ground
on New Jersey at H located at 800 New Jersey Avenue
SE, Washington, DC. This 400,473 gross square foot
luxury apartment building features 336 units above a
ground-floor Whole Foods market, three-story entrance
lobby, commercial kitchen for cooking demonstrations
with master chefs, fitness area, rooftop pool, retail and
underground parking. Targeted to receive LEED Silver level
certification, the project’s completion date is the fourth
quarter of 2016.
