announced that it has
been renamed and branded as
Allan Myers
. In addition
to AI, the change affects Independence Construction
Materials and Allan A. Myers all of which are unified under
the new name.
Donohoe
Construction
Company
received
the
“Outstanding Civil Engineering Project” award at the
annual American Society of Civil Engineers-National Capital
Section banquet for Tysons Corner Center-Residential
Phase 1. The project is comprised of a 30-story apartment
building with four levels of below-grade parking and a
pedestrian bridge connecting the residence to the adjacent
Metro station. Donohoe expects the project to achieve the
minimum of a LEED Silver certification level.
The company also announced that two other projects,
VITA Tysons Corner and The Colonel, welcomed their
first tenants. VITA Tysons Corner is a LEED Silver, 30-story
building containing 429 units above 13,000 square feet
of retail space and a direct connection to the Silver Line
Metro station. The Colonel, on 9th Street in Washington,
DC, features 70 luxury units within a five-story wood frame
apartment building over a two-story concrete podium.
Amenities include garage parking, a courtyard with a
fireplace and a rooftop deck with fire pit, kitchen and
theatre space.

Wilmington, DE, celebrates 145 years in business. M. Davis
serves as an employer to many residents in Delaware,
Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.
Charlotte McGehee was promoted
to the position of branch manager
for
Ruppert Landscape
’s new DC
landscape
management
branch.
A graduate of the University of
Richmond, McGehee is responsible
for the overall development and
health of the branch. The company
also announced the promotions of
Joshua Araujo and Mike Lopes in
the Alexandria, VA, landscape management branch. With
more than nine years of industry experience, Araujo was
promoted to area manager. Lopes, who joined Ruppert in
2014, was promoted to enhancement manager.
In addition,

team. Luke Alexander joined the
firm as the national landscape
construction division’s estimator;
Wendy
Hildebrand
as

application development manager;
