the dry utility contractor on the CSX
Virginia Tunnel. The existing tunnel is
nearing the end of its useful life, and
the new one is critical to eliminating a
significant bottleneck in the East Coast’s
rail transportation network, according
to CSX Transportation.
R.B. Hinkle Construction, Inc.’s
hydrostatic trencher expedites the
DC Metro Silver Line Extension with
a 4:1 speed ratio when compared to
a hoe-ram/backhoe. The $2 million,
10-mile power trench will be completed
in June 2016.

former president, Chris Davitt, received
