That was the theme of this year’s sporting clay shoot held at Shane’s Sporting Clays as we kicked off the annual NC Rural Water
Conference. With over 50 participants and really nice weather, it was a great day to get out and break targets. As I have said so many
times before, we could not make these shoots happen without our sponsors. AmeroChem put up a shotgun again this year which was
a Beretta A300 autoloader and Pearson Pump put up a gift card with money for a Henry Golden Boy 22 rifle. Garrison and Southern
Corrosion sponsored the meal and drinks plus Garrison provided a really nice shooting vest. Each Shooter received a t-shirt and duffle bag.
The bags were donated by Ford Meter Box and there were several t-shirt sponsors as well as station sponsors. Thank you to our sponsors.
As for the shooters this year, we had many good scores with Mr. Eddie Staley shooting High Over All and Tommy Carter from South
Carolina was runner up. Our Lady Champion was Rosa Longshore. We had four ladies participate this year and would love to have more
come out and give clay shooting a try.
I hope that everyone will put next year’s conference on your calendar and come out and join us for a really good time.
