Today the quality of Mount Olive’s water
speaks for itself. It is the best in the State.
Blanton says, “the residuals have gotten
better and the overall quality of the water
has improved a great deal”. The Iron
residuals go from no detect to 0.03mg/L.
Manganese residuals are <0.011mg/L.
Backwash is every 1.75 MG; that’s 3 to 4
days. Customers are happy and confident in
their water quality and Blanton is operating
the water plant more efficiently. This works
better for everyone involved.
That quiet confident smile on Blanton’ face
is one filled with pride. Pride for his water
system and for his employees. Blanton says
that he is fortunate to have the employees that
he has. “They are dedicated to the Town and
water quality. They work with me and each
other to get things done. It is a pleasure to
work in this atmosphere”.
Congratulations, Mount Olive, for the best
tasting water in North Carolina!!
