NC Rural Water Mag, Winter issue - page 20

A
fter months of reviewing feedback from
our Members, the North Carolina Rural
Water Assocaition (NCRWA) is excited
to announce that our entire Water and
Wastewater Continuing Education Program
has been completely redesigned. In order
to better serve our System Members and
the thousands of operators across the state,
NCRWA has developed a wider range
of topics and agendas and has scheduled
these throughout 2015. As a result, you can
choose what topic and credit best meets
your needs. In January, we will begin
offering the following courses:
Operations and Maintenance
for Water and Wastewater
Utilities (W/WW)
Process Control and Laboratory
Day (W/WW)
Safety Topics for Water and
Wastewater (W/WW)
Energy Conservation and
Management for the Water &
Wastewater Industry (W/WW)
Pump and Pipeline Technology
for the Water & Wastewater
Industry (W/WW)
Collection Systems: Pipes,
Couplings, O&M, and Regulatory
Issues (WW)
The Role of the Wastewater
Operator (WW)
Water Distribution Technology (W)
Water Treatment Plants from Raw
Water to the Finished Project (W)
Groundwater Wells: Rules and
Regulations plus O&M (W)
Included in each of these sessions,
NCRWA plans to offer sessions on
operations and maintenance, new
technology and products, regulatory
updates, safety training, and soft skills
(such as operator math, asset management,
or customer service) that coincide with
the main training topic, giving you a well-
rounded training day. Our primary goal
for this intensive redesign was to provide
training that meets certification renewal
requirements while offering a program
that is engaging and truly expands your
knowledge of the subject matter.
