announced the promotion of Maria
Coakley David as chief executive officer and chief financial
officer; Douglas P. Ayers as chief operating officer; Liam

CRS LLC
(Construction Risk Solutions) has expanded its
services to include personnel recruiting for construction
risk management, safety and internal claims staffing. With
the addition of Ryan McGonigle as director of recruiting,
CRS formalizes a placement service that it has performed
for contractors on an as needed basis for the past six years.

Award at an October 30

ceremony hosted by the City of
Baltimore; Caesars Entertainment and Horseshow Casino-
Baltimore; BGE; Southwest Airlines; University of Maryland
University College; and greiBO media. The ceremony is
designed to acknowledge and pay tribute to outstanding
women and minority business owners in Maryland, Virginia,
Pennsylvania, Delaware and the District of Columbia.
Forrester Construction Company
has been selected as
the general contractor for Arlington National Cemetery’s
upcoming Millennium project. The $59 million project
will allow Arlington National Cemetery to serve future
generations of American service members and their
families while maintaining the national treasure’s quality,
dignity and central function as a military burial ground.
The site will combine three separate parcels into a single
31-acre internment development, adding more than 36,000
burial locations. Without these additional spaces, Arlington
National Cemetery is projected to exhaust its internment
sites by 2025.
The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation has selected
Foulger-Pratt Contracting
to proceed on Art Place at
Fort Totten. The transit-oriented development, adjacent
to a Metro station, will include three residential towers
with a total of 520 luxury rental apartments, as well as two
levels of retail space and above- and below-grade parking.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2014.
Irene Davis has retired after 24 years
with
HITT Contracting
. Davis started
in
estimating
and
construction
administration in 1989 and then
moved to project management.
During her tenure as director of
subcontractor relations, Davis focused
on building partnerships with over
2,000
subcontractors,
suppliers
and vendors as well as fostering relationships with key
industry associations.
Steve Arnold has joined the
Lockton Companies
in its
Washington, DC, office as manager of surety operations.
Arnold leads the surety service team and is responsible
for market relationships, drawing on his knowledge
of the construction industry and experience working
with contractors.
