The 7

Annual Safety Awards luncheon
honored ABC of Metro Washington
member companies who maintained
outstanding safety programs, policies
and procedures throughout the year.
OSHA Deputy Director Dean McKenzie
addressed the group, discussing
new OSHA safety regulations. ABC
National’s Mid-Atlantic Vice Chair, and
Director of Business Development
at Facchina Construction Co. Inc.,
George Nash praised the recipients,
stating the STEP designation drives
companies to continue elevating their
safety performance.
The Chapter Safety Awards recognize
companies for their meritorious safety
performance each year using safety
factor calculations that incorporate
data from OSHA reports. The recipients
