NORTH CAROLINA RURAL
WATER MEMBERS,
hank you for giving me the opportunity
and honor to serve as President of
NCRWA for the next two years. Having
been an officer of the Association for
the last eight years, I feel privileged
to be able to contribute and give back
to the organization founded by great
men and women of the water and waste
water industry.
The role we play in providing safe water
to the public is the key factor in the
quality of life and economic development
in our society. I have seen firsthand how
the board members and staff, through
sharing of their talents and resources,
have improved our industry. As a system
manager, I am on both ends of this scale.
Some days, we are fortunate enough
to be able to reach out and help others,
other days we may be the system in need.
I encourage each member to reach out,
to contribute, to volunteer and to get
involved. Each one of you has an idea or
need that is important to the success of
this Association.
Being the President of NCRWA today
has a different set of challenges than
those of the past. Legislative efforts and
training, just to name a few, but while
our methods may have changed, our
duty remains the same. I am humbled to
serve this incredible Association and its
extraordinary members. Thank you for
your support as I look forward to serving
as your President.
Thanks again,
Neil Carpenter
