When Our Powers Combine, We Change Lives!
This July, show your community how they can discover their super powers at their local parks
and recreation department. They can get fit, learn new abilities and make super new friends.
Captain Community, the Green Guardian and the Fit Twins—the Park and Rec Brigade—will
show everyone how park and recreation agencies improve lives through health and wellness,
conservation and social equity. Visit: for ideas
and tools to help you celebrate.
If you have an unique event or program that is focused around July as Parks and Recreation
month NCRPA wants to know! Email: what you have planned and you
may be featured in an upcoming blog or a social media post. Also be on the lookout for the
return of the NCRPA #ParksBaton and more!
Join fellow professionals and vendors for
the NCRPA Annual Conference this fall
for great educational sessions and fun
opportunities to network with others.
Hosted by Mecklenburg County Park &
Recreation, the conference will kick off
on Monday, October 24 and conclude
on Wednesday afternoon, October 28.
This is a change from past conferences.
Starting on Monday allows delegates to
travel to the Queen City on a workday.
Our event will conclude with the Awards
Luncheon and a keynote speaker on
Wednesday. These changes were made
following a survey of NCRPA members to
determine what format was preferred.
Lodging for the Conference will be
provided by the Hilton Garden Inn and
the Hampton Inn located just a few
blocks from the convention center. Your
conference education committee has
worked hard to recruit and select quality
sessions covering a variety of topics. Be
sure to visit the Exhibit Hall on Monday
evening to see the products and services
showcased by our vendors. If you are
interested in securing a booth in our
exhibit hall or attending as a delegate visit
to learn all the details
as they are shared. We look forward to
