NCRWA Now Offering
“Surface Irrigation Schools”
e are pleased to announce that NC Rural Water is offering WW surface
irrigation schools. As most everyone knows by now we have been approved
by the NCWPCOCC to offer all wastewater schools in NC. Since our
approval in 2010 we have offered Biological, Collections and Physical
Chemical schools.
Through requests from systems and finding the right person to instruct
the Surface Irrigation school curriculum we launched our first school at
Fayetteville in February of this year and just wrapped up our second school
right before our annual conference on May 6
th
. Mr. Grady Dobson who is well
known in the Fayetteville region is our instructor for these schools. Grady
worked with the state in the land application and surface irrigation program
for many years and is now retired from that position. Grady was interested in
staying involved and sharing his knowledge with others. After talking with
students from both our previous schools they all give Grady high marks on
his teaching style and knowledge. As of right now we are only offering this
school in the Fayetteville region but hope to expand to other parts of the state
in the future.
