t the banquet I couldn’t finish writing the title
of my song down before I heard the “ivories”
being tickled. I was certain that I was in
when I heard the infamous Jerry Lee Lewis
trademark song. And then all the great Elton
John favorites got the house rocking.
The “Dueling Pianos” were a great and
refreshing change in entertainment as was
indicated by the crowd’s fun responses and
even better with a glass of wine.
Thanks to those who took time to nominate
some most deserving water and wastewater
Industry specialist. Take the challenge and
nominate a deserving individual for an award
next year. In my tenure with North Carolina
Rural Water Association, I have continued
to meet so many phenomenal Industry
specialists. I continue to reiterate the fact that
this industry is filled with so many dedicated,
friendly and intelligent individuals who often
work under adverse regulatory restraints and
somehow manage to do a great job.
The Common Thread in this case is that special
industry connection that generates a special
family-type effect. When you combine all
these ingredients to your recipe your results
will always be Great Fun.
Thanks again to Southern Corrosion for
sponsoring the Entertainment and to QS1 for
sponsoring the wonderful meal!
Congratulations again to all of the Award
Recipients. Rural Water extends to you all the
invitation to come back to the conference next
year and invite a friend.
