T
he need for advanced-level water and wastewater leadership
development was met head-on at the Second Annual NCRWA
Leadership Summit held September 4-5 at the historic Omni Grove
Park Inn in Asheville. The purpose of the Leadership Summit is
not only to provide significant and relevant education sessions to
our industry leaders, but to also bring great minds together under
one roof to share experiences and knowledge. It is our goal to have
attendees walk away more inspired, educated, and connected.
Delivering on our objectives, this distinctive event offered a variety
of sessions pertinent to the decisions made daily in a system from
proven experts in their respective fields. Covering topics vital to
system management and boards, attendees dove deeper into issues
such as water rights, human resources, and political landscapes. Each
session focused on bringing awareness and knowledge to industry
leaders and resulted in lengthy peer-to-peer discussions outside
of the classroom. Networking meals gave attendees the chance to
connect and continue deliberations in a more relaxed atmosphere. If
you are a decision-maker in your system and are considering your
options for professional growth, look no further than the Leadership
Summit. 2015 Summit dates and location will be coming to our
website,
, this spring.
A special heart-felt “thank you” goes out to our sponsors who
have the vision and foresight to understand the value and overall
importance of leadership development. Without the friendship and
support of these outstanding companies, the Leadership Summit
would not be possible. Thank you Master Meter, McGill Associates,
Professional Mail Services, QS/1 Governmental Software, SEDC,
and Southern Corrosion.
