W
e asked, and the judges answered: Jones County
Regional Water System! The Water Taste Contest
is a big deal. Judges evaluate each sample of water
on color, clarity, odor and taste. So to say “best
tasting” water is actually not giving the winner
full credit, as taste is only 25% of the score. Jones
County actually has the Best All-AroundWater in
North Carolina!
In order to participate in the Water Taste Contest,
systems must be an NCRWA Member and must
be in good standing with no current violations for
bacteriological or contaminant monitoring.
As the NC winner, Jones County Regional
Water System is invited to participate in the
National Rural Water “Great American Water
Taste Test” during the Rural Water Rally in
Washington, DC, where drinking water from
around the country is judged to determine the
best tasting water in America.
Thank you to all of the systems that participated
in this contest. We urge all NCRWA Member
Systems to participate next year! Do you
think you have the best tasting water in North
Carolina? Prove it!
