Michelangelo was, arguably, the

greatest artist of the Renaissance.

Thousands flock each year to see

his David sculpture – a mammoth

and gorgeous work that beautifully

conveys the mix of strength and

trepidation in this young man as

he prepared to face his biblical

foe, Goliath. Michelangelo evokes

intense emotions. He taps into the

human spirit. We treasure his works for their honest power.

If he was still around today, there’s a good chance Michel-

angelo would be heading to Vienna this April. Not just to

admire the wealth of art throughout this center of culture. In

addition to the 37 other stimulating, edgy sessions, he’d get

to hear Dr. Maria Kreuzer present her work on Multi-Sen-

sory Sculpting, which would be right up his alley.

Maria will demonstrate how Multi-Sensory Sculpting is a

powerful tool for eliciting human emotions and deep-seated

ideas because it lets people go beyond the verbal — by creat-

ing their own sculptures. And just like Michelangelo’s David,

these sculptures illuminate something profound about us.

For the rest of us, who may not be quite as artistically

gifted as Michelangelo but who value the power of

non-verbal qualitative tools, Maria’s work on Multi-Sensory

Sculpting will challenge and inspire.
